People have such different takes on Candlelight. For me it makes everything better. If I lived alone I would probably never use electric lighting at all…

Art can be found at: http://marjoleinart-stock.deviantart.com/

I love to use candlelight to read, or even when taking a long quiet bath. Yoga is fun by candlelight…When is your favorite time for Candles?

I love the soft glow they create-warm and inviting…what do you love most about them?

Here is a link to a blog post I did on Beeswax awhile back: http://wp.me/pkJVw-4C
I would be interested in more scientific information, and will let you know what I find. :)
All the best!

dM,

That is a dilemma! I can relate-I keep all fragrance and essential oil out in the shop and am careful which fragrances I burn inside-my daughter Bella is extremely sensitive to fragrance.

I bet that is hard for your hubby in a world drenched with scent. Perhaps beeswax would be a nice choice -it has a very pleasant aroma and many sources believe it is a natural air purifier as well as great for asthma. (I have not been able to scientifically prove this-but it is a widely written on topic). Gives me an idea for a blog post too-thank you! ;)

I have something I wish to send you-and I would be happy to add in a beeswax candle if you think he would be game in testing it out? Let me know what you think and as always thank you for all you do!
You always inspire us! <3

Lisa,

I love this short post. The graphic is beautiful, and it reminds me that I don't use candles nearly enough. One reason is that my husband is especially sensitive to fragrance -- he dislikes most of it -- so I'm sort of stuck.

I know I can burn unscented candles and I sometimes do -- tea lights in a container. But part of the joy of candles for me is the scent.

I'm going to have to figure out the best times to burn my scented candles when he's not home, which is, fortunately or unfortunately (depending on how you look at it), almost never!

In my bath tub late at night is just about the only time I could do it. It's a great time, but alas, by the time it's late enough, I'm usually too pooped to do anything but crawl beneath the covers.

You're making me think here. I know that we all do whatever we really want to do. Over the next several days, I'll discover how badly I really want to burn my scented candles. I'll be sure to get some from you!

Thanks again for making me think in new ways.
