Enjoy Your Life! Build Your Business! Have Your Way!

Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night.
~Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters of Rainer Maria Rilke

What better way to celebrate than with Spring fragrances for your Candles and Bath & Body! Even Nature herself has donned a pretty party dress! This
season it is all about rowdy blooms, rock star rose, earthy woods &
gentle rains…What will be Your favorite?

Rock Star Rose~a new cult classic : blends Dune Rose, Musk Rose and Bulgarian Rose, Vanilla, Amber and musk…classic with an edge.

Stargazer & Cantaloupe~Sweet and juicy, fresh, ripe cantaloupe and a delicate heady exotic lily.

Belladonna~A very unusual scent, it is at once luscious and earthy, etheral and fruity…but so haunting. The fruit and floral accord dramatically mellows the Vetiver base note; it is
neither too acrid nor overly sweet. Belladonna blends Red
Fig, Bergamot, Kumquot, Mandarin, Cyclamen, Currant, Cling Peach,
Osmanthus, Violet Leaf, Rosewood, Teak, Vetiver and Black Amber. A
nocturnal garden scent.

Flowerbomb (Viktor & Rolf style)~Strap on your helmet and prepare to sample our interpretation of divine new fragrance “Flowerbomb.” Filled with flowers, flowers, and more flowers
(thus the name “Flowerbomb”), and “romantic, but volatile” connotes
“glamour, but with rage” begins with top notes of bergamot, tea, and
peony, leading to an explosive flowery midsection of real jasmine
absolute, freesia, orchid, orangeflower, and a kiss of peach, with a
warm, sweet drydown of cedarwood, patchouli, amber, leather, musk, and
vanilla. Bottom Line: Dizzingly floral, delightfully upscale — one
whiff and KABOOM!!!

Hello Sugar!~ The captivating and irresistible scent of sugar, infused with refreshing lemon is now a delectable scent that’s sure to become a new favorite for every woman
who wears it. Notes:Italian Bergamot, Yuzu, Mandarin,
Lychee Flower, Orange Blossom, Ginger Flower, Oak Moss, Caramel, White
Santal. Great in Candles-awesome as a perfume!

Jasmin Noir~a rich mix of voluptuous floral and precious woody notes with accents of almond and licorice. This infinitely addictive essence is sublimely revealed by jasmine, a flower
whose beauty is as pure as it is tantalizing. Notes:Green
Sap, Gardenia Petals, Sambac Jasmine Absolute, Satiny Almond, Precious
Wood, Licorice, Tonka Bean Absolute.

Aria (by Culti type)~Our version of this Italian beauty begins with citrusy top notes of lemon and natural bergamot, which make way for a strong, long-lasting floral heart of
jasmine, orange blossoms, rose, and irresistible notes of lily of the
valley. The fragrance is finished with soft, aromatic base of cedar,
musk, and sandalwood. This exclusive fragrance is the perfect choice
for anyone looking for a fresh, complex, floral blend that smells molto,
molto
expensive.

Ultraviolet ~At once, Wicked and Innocent. This seductive floral combines two romantic Victorian favorites… Wild Rose and Sweet Violet. Like a nosegay updated, the fragrant bouquet pays
homage to a sweeter time, but with a twist. Equally at home in an
urban club or a garden party, this scent is a terrific fusion of
venerable and contemporary. A taste of Licorice. A hint of powder. Roll
out the fainting couch and fetch the smelling salts. You must wear
black, for black goes with everything. Top notes of Sweet Violet, Iris,
and Sweet Clover. Middle notes of Rosa Rugosa, Lavender, Heather,
Angelica, Basil Leaf and Sweet Fennel. Bottom notes of Oak Moss and
Labdanum.

All of the above fragrances are ready to go for Candles and they smell even better as our new Perfumes!

Lisa,

Love the new candles! Of course anything "Rose" is a favorite for me. You have some interesting new blends I've not seen before.

Hope you got the chance to go see Johnny in Alice in Wonderland. (Know you are a fellow fan!) Crazy funny and funky green contacts with frizzy red clown wigs! (and of course the usual Tim Burton "white face makeup" Took me a while to get used to that idea (red hair and green eyes on Johnny), but after seeing the trailers a couple dozen times the idea grew on me. Still can't wait for Capt. Jack to be back though.

We took our sons to the theater last night to watch "How to Train Your Dragon". Cute movie, but definitely geared toward 4-10 year old boys. Charlie (my oldest, the one with autism) did better that he has at a indoor movie theater since he was a baby. Hopefully he's getting over his sensory issues with the surround sound. Still, the drive-in goes better with him (and of course the double features are great value for family budget.) I know we will go to the drive in to see Toy Story 3, that new one where Brenden Fraiser gets beat up by wildlife and I am begging hubby to take me to see the Prince of Persia (maybe a date night w/o kids, if Charlie's speech teacher will watch them for us, as she did recently when we went to a tele-class on teaching special needs kids hygiene (more of an issue than you'd think when they start getting over 60 or 70 lbs and it becomes difficult to help them bathe and such... some point they have to learn to do it themselves if they are high functioning enough to do so.) Husband of course can't wait until fall for the next installment of Harry Potter.

I will definitely agree with your praise of spring. It's FINALLY here in South Dakota too. Pasture is finally turning green, the neighbors are planting their fields and we are starting to see a few new baby fawns when we drive to town. Seems like it was a very long winter and we had huge snow drifts on the ground for about 4 months this year (taller than our barnyard fences which are 5 feet in most places, up to 8 feet in others... the cows were walking in and out of the other animals' pens at will and we finally had to buy a llama to keep coyotes away from the new baby goats, as the predators waltzed into the goat pen and took out at least 3 goat kids . We named her Mama-Llama, she's white with red spots like an appaloosa horse. Can't wait to shear her this summer so I can spin the wool and make myself some fabulous llama wool socks!) With no goat milk all winter, I spent most of the winter months working on my new line of mineral makeup and skin care creams.

The all natural lipstick line is going well with 7 colors (covered all the basics: plum, rose-pink, red (w/ blue undertone for whiter looking teeth), peach, copper, nude, and bronze... except coral... which is remarkably elusive w/o using FD&C dyes... in theory a nice bright pink and some orange should equal coral, but have not found that magic formula yet.) Foundation about 14 shades currently (possibility of adding more if need is there ... maybe some fun and weird stuff for Halloween/stage makeup for the coming fall season too... I think the Mad Hatter and the Red Queen from Alice will be hot... probably "blue face" makeup too (Avatar, Smurfs and the like... okay, so I just want to make my husband dress up as Papa Smurf for Halloween... too funny and his beard is perfect for it with the help of a little baby powder!) The blushes, a work in progress, but so far 7 of them plus a bronzer/blush color. Eye-shadows... that's all fun and games... time to play with color, shimmer, light vs. dark, drama vs. subtle, youth vs. wisdom and maturity. Anything goes for eyes really, long as you use the right pigments. A day cream and a night cream for maturing skin are a work in progress that I need to get back to soon. First batch of the day-time cream had a bit too much of the titanium dioxide that I'd added for sunscreen effect and left a white film on skin (however I've been using it for a couple weeks and like it otherwise as it seems to improve skin texture, elasticity and helping with wrinkles although I am not "claiming" more that it's use as a "moisturizing cream" due to labeling issues of course)... so I have to make another batch w/o color added to thin out pigment that a bit. Once I get that project completed, I will start work on a lotion for oily/teen skin. Now that spring has arrived I am also working on some new soaps, including a customer request for "lilac scented" and a mechanic's soap (hope to have that ready in time for Father's Day shopping).

Nothing like spring to make a person want to get back to work and back to creativity.
