I traveled with Lela of Bella Lucce 2.5 hours outside of Bamako Mali to visit a wonderful cooperative of shea butter makers.This Union in Djioila, Mali comprises of 45 cooperatives and made upt of a total of 1673 women. We had the opportunity to observe their production process in both shea butter and soap making.
