During our celebration I had the opportunity to meet a life long friend of my father in law’s. Dad was an electrical contractor and he
met his friend when hired to work for him years ago. They continued
their friendship and working relationship for many years-he even
transferred work along to Scott after dad retired.
During the evening we released butterflies, lit candles, had many great toasts and remembered good times with dad. During one
of those moments of sharing dad’s friend Terry was very emotional, there
was not a dry eye in the place. It struck me that we should all be so
lucky as to have a friend that misses us so much when we are gone that
they are moved to tears. I agree with Terry…dad left this world a
better place for having been in it.

I am taking this lesson away from that experience: I want to be the type of girl worthy of such a friend.
