Separating gelatinous mucilage of a seed from the water soaked seed

Dear Indie members, I am trying to make gels from seeds that have a gelatinous consistency when cooked or soaked. I tried soaking and cooking chia seeds, and then separating the gel from the seed. It was impossible to do with a strainer. I tried adding alcohol, that didn't work either. Any clues on how to do this?ThanksSee More
