On the insurance can I just sell candles and still be covered or do I have to add a soap/lotion line in order for the insurance to be valid?

I am interested in signing up for IBN prosuct insurance, and am wondering if there is also insurance available for a manufacturing facility location/leased building space?

Michelle:

Thank you for your question. Many of the more lucrative craft fairs will request an insurance certificate. If they do, you can get one for just $395 when you join IBN. If they don't request a certificate, then you don't have to get one, but it is a good idea to have insurance to cover your business just in case someone does bring any kind of claim.

The Apprentice Membership does not come with insurance. It also does not come with promotional benefits. It is designed for people who have not officially started -- just like you! With an Apprentice Membership, you get access to all of my mentoring and coaching via members only teleseminars and more. It's just $125 a year (that's about $10 a month!), and your business is worth it!

I have not started my business yet but would like to keep it small and go the craft fair route to sell my soap. Do I still need liability insurance? Is any offered with an apprentice membership? Do I have to sign up for full membership to obtain it?

I have more than one website to sell my products. I have different products and therefore want to keep them separated. How do I add my new website to my insurance coverage or is any additional websites automatically covered under the policy? What do I need to do, if anything. Thank you.

Good Afternoon, I am interested in launching a perfume? Will Indie University be a good resource of this venture. Also, how do you get an invitation to read some of the classes that are displayed? I would like to become a member of the Indie Beauty Network, as well as to get some insurance for my business which is located outside the US - Barbados. I, however, use my sister's address (she lives in Las Vegas) to order supplies for my business here. I read on your site that it was possible to have my business insured based on this. Therefore, would like to request a proforma invoice for the full amount to join the network and insurance coverage for a year, as I'll be using a small business loan to cover the cost.

In addition, I would like to get my product tested; are there any affiliate businesses on the network that offer these services?
