I read this article in the Wall Street Journal last week and thought I'd share it here.

Happy Method Day: Today’s Ocean Junk Is Tomorrow’s Shampoo Bottle - http://ow.ly/6xAPr

Some of WSJ's content is paid only, but it looks like this might be free. I hope so, because it's very interesting to see what can be done in the packaging world. I often take it for granted, but Jo Ann always reminds me of its importance. This is a super hot issue if you have a beauty company because consumers are continuing to look for more ways to do small things to help the environment. I think they see products they buy, and the packaging those products are in, as an easy way to do their part.

Hi,

Does anyone know of a supplier that carries candle tins that has a pour spout.  I would like to use this type of tin for a massage candle.

Thanks!

Hi there,

I'm new to the group and wondering has anybody had any success with finding a great label material to affix to tubes.. ie traditional toothpaste style tubes?

It needs to conform to the changing shape of a squeezed tube.

Everything I try seems to wrinkle up sooner or later, I need something more rubbery & flexible. Im looking at getting it professionally printed with  fade & scratch-proof solvent based inks

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Hello:

I am the US representative of a company that sells the home compostable cosmetic jars and lip balm tubes.

I posted the information here. The company is creating new wonderful eco-friendly packaging products as well.

Hello,

I have been searching for 0.5 oz bottles with treatment pumps or treatment pumps (18-400) that fit 0.5 oz bottles.

Do you have any idea where I can find them for orders under 1000?

Thank you so much.

Vida

I don't know of Miron personally. Is there a specific issue relative to glass packaging?

Are you familiar with Miron Glass (bottles and Jars)? Do you recommend using them for creams and serums?
Thank You,

Try putting a decorative piece of cloth over the top that you can tie on with color coordinated ribbon. You can then attached your hang tag to that. Recycle the fabric from other projects that way you can get some eco credits too.
Happy Packaging!.

Hello! I make candles too and have a new jar that is curved like the one below. It doesn't have a lid though. I need to have some kind of a cover to keep dust out of the candle and I also need label ideas. Perhaps a tag or something? The diameter of the top opening is 3". Any ideas GREATLY appreciated :)
