My current favorite body care product is facial cream. The older I get, I am now 50, the more I love to massage and touch my face with a beautiful face cream. The one I love right now is one that I make with organic camellia oil and moringa oil infused with orchid essences.

Hi Margo,

The world for natural product making is so huge. I always compare it to cooking. There are so many venues and directions you can go. If you can, start with classes, you will learn faster by learning tips and watching it done. The Indie Beauty Community is filled with information, ask others questions. Go with what you want to learn first.
I love body butters. I am very much into shea butter with avocado oil, with just a few drops of peppermint and sweet orange essential oil. Very soothing after cleansing the face. No water in the product.

I love sugar scrubs as well. I scrub my facial skin, very lightly, once a week. I tend to get the dry flakes after working in the cold as much as I do. Scrubs do the trick.

I also use pure oils at times (a mix of olive, avocado, vit E, and evening primrose oil) for a facial massage. Dreamy. Often times a person is not aware of how much stress they carry in their facial muscles until they start performing a massage.
It shows how much natural products can affect one's skin and life. Scrubs are an excellent way to keep the lymph system flowing and break up any stagnant areas.
Facial massage is one of the best gifts one can give to themselves. When you kindly touch your face you touch your soul.
my favorite body care product is a creamy cleansing cream i found on line i use it as a body wash or to take off make up. as a body wash it so great you will not need to add lotion after. it made with beeswax , almond oil , water , frankincense , lavender and neroi. love it.
Sounds like a nice cleansing cream Natalie.

I am not as seasoned as some of you ladies.  Just had a birthday on the 7th and a few years off of 40.  But I have discovered Capuacu Butter and let me tell you I love what it does for my skin as well as I use in my formulas of my body butters!  Wow Wow wow.

C. Dawn, I love cupuacu butter. It's in my Nourishing Body Lotion. The most significant feature of cupuacu butter is the highly moisturizing factor.

I agree!  Love how it really holds moisture in.  My two year old who HAD dry knees and feet I had created a butter for him and now cant tell that he had the dryness.  I also love how it gives a supplness to the skin without leaving a greasy residue and my customers notice the difference and love that about my products.

I would love to come up with a great lotion without water to put in a squeeze tube- is that possible?

C. Dawn, a lotion is water and oil. You can come up with an oil and put in a squeeze tube. It is a matter of combining light and dry oils. You can play with adding a small amount of tapioca powder to absorb some of the oil.
Thanks Joan for the advice!
