I am curious how everyone is sanitizing their equipment, containers and work area?

I use 190 or 200 proof alcohol. The great part about using alcohol, it dries quickly and kills microbes. It can be expensive purchasing 190 or 200 proof alcohol because of the liquor taxes. Recently, I've switched to denatured alcohol. In the past, I didn't want to use denatured alcohol as it is denatured with poisonous chemicals such as methanol, acetone, isopropyl alcohol, denatonium, methyl ethyl ketone and methyl isobutyl ketone. Now available is denatured alcohol; denatured with lavender essential oil. Denatured lavender alcohol costs about 25% less than undenatured alcohol.

Wow didnt know that.  I had been sanitizing the bleach way.  Just diluting in water and letting soak and then washing in dish natural dish water.

C. Dawn. that works too. I applaud you for educating yourself with Good Manufacturing Practices. We need people like you in this industry to keep up a good reputation.

Thank you Joan that means alot.  I have and still do my homeword and research and research to create and practice the processes because I hope is to continue and grow my business to the best it can be and let people know my brand is one here to stay.  I want it to be on folks tongues to know the name After Affects is synonimus with quality and love.

I am adding bath fizzies to my line and I just purchased your e-book yesterday!  Been making some pretty nice ones!  thank you for being a reference!

C. Dawn, I already get that impression about you and your products. All you have to do is be it and own it and others will feel it.
Thank you I like that- I am going to write that down.

Thanks Joan for the suggestion of denatured with lavender essential oil.  I have some already and it would be a lot cheaper than the high proof that I have been using.  Now I can keep the high proof for just my tintures that I make.

Thanks for this ladies..Yolanda where do you get your denatured with lavender eo from?

There is a place to buy it in bulk for a reasonable price but they only deliver to a place of business. They won't deliver to a residence. You can search for it online.
