Above is the form I created to help with requests. And there is no requirement to fill out the form, but you can at least follow the format and just send an email.

Thank you for your question. To add an additional insured, please take the following steps:

 

1. Send an email to beauty@stratusins.com

 

2. In the email, request that your insurance certificate be updated to include your additional insured(s). (You get 5 free each year, and then each additional one in a year after that is $25.)

 

3. Include the name, address, contact NAME and contact email for the company you want added as an additional insured. You will get an automated email reply first, then within a few days, you will get the additional insured(s) added.

How do I put an additional insured on my policy. I have the indie beauty/stratus policy.

I just opened up a candle shop and needed renters insurance. We decided to go with allstate. Since we are getting renters insurance we decided to use them for liablity insurance as well. I do have a policy through IBN, is there a way to cancel that policy?

Natalja, your renewal is in February, so you will hear from me around December about renewal of your policy.
For those who don't know, Stratus provides insurance to companies that make their products by hand through Indie Beauty Network. Those, who don't make their products by hand or for other reasons can't obtain insurance through IBN, go through Stratus and still get insurance direct.
So back to your question. The rate you have currently supports UP to $50,000 in sales. Nothing happens if you do more, nothing happens when you do less. However, renewal is based on your projection for sales again. So we literally re-visit your account, review sales and products every year and underwrite each account based on that information.

I have an Insurance with Stratus that I believe covers me if I make less then $50,000. What happens if I make more? I need to know that for my next renewal.
