Question of the Week: What Are You Making And Enjoying That's Got Pumpkin In It!!?

Hi Everyone!

Do you like pumpkins? I do, but I don't think about them all year long. Then, October hits and pumpkins are everywhere and I like the smell of pumpkin, the look of pumpkin, the color of pumpkin and the test of pumpkin. Pumpkin bread is a 3-month long weakness for me every year!

Another thing I like about pumpkin is the cool ways the fragrance and extracts can be used in skin care and bath and body care products.

Any kind of pumpkin sugar scrub is my personal favorite. What about you? What do you love about pumpkin? What are you making this season that has a pumpkin scent or contains pumpkin goodness?

I look forward to the new and exciting pumpkin treats!

Have a great week!

dM: On the news yesterday they said that 75% of all canned pumpkin is butternut squash. Was talking about pumpkin soup recipe.

Does that have same chemical properties for cosmetics too?

I just experimented making real pumpkin soap for the holidays. So far, so good. It's slower curing than my other soaps, but with the pumpkin and the pumpkin pie spice infusion I used for scent, it smells delicious. I don't know if people are going to want to wash with soap that smells like pumpkin pie but I can't wait for it to get hard enough to use. YUM!

I finally took a picture of my "Grandma's Pumpkin Pie" soaps. FYI: The little black spots are ground cloves. Enjoy!

Looks delish!!

Wow! They are so pretty! I love how you added the color so it looks more realistic! I'm thinking they look just about a good size for guest soaps.
