Hello Indies,
I am looking for a soap maker to private label exquisite upscale soaps for my company.
Soap ingredients must be predominantly organic (verifiable) and made without any synthetics (that means no artificial preservatives or fragrance, please). Other requirements are that the soap be extremely emollient, and be innovative in its look.

If you are interested, please email me at La.Isha.2006@gmail.com.
Many thanks!
Sharon

Is there a reason your wanting organic oils in the soap? After the chemical reaction of the lye and oils it seems a waste to me to use high grade organic oils in soapmaking. I only ask as I use high quality (food grade) oils but not organic.
Good question. I would like to be able to label the soap predominantly organic in order to be in keeping with the rest of my emerging product line. I know this ups the price some, but from what I've seen and heard from others this does not have to make the soap prohibitively expensive.

Your thoughts?
Best,
Sharon
I can see superfatting the soap with organic ingredients. I mostly make HP soap and when I want to add fancier oils and delicate ingredients I just add them at the end of the cooking so they aren't damaged by the lye. I have made several types of specialty soaps that way. I've added organic shea, rosehip oil, Essential oils and such.
One excellent reason to use organic oils is to support organic farmers and the organic movement as a whole...especially organic palm oil so as not to deplete the rainforest... to reduce the amount of harmful pesticides in our environment. Olives are generally grown without pesticides anyway, but again, supporting those farmers who have gone the extra mile to get certified is a good thing. So I disagree that it would be a waste. I believe that every ingredient we choose to use in our soapmaking adds or detracts from its value.

I'd be happy to discuss manufacturing custom organic synthetic free soaps with you Sharon. Please visit our website at http://www.awildsoapbar.com and sign up for wholesale member access, then give me a call at your earliest convenience.
