Enjoy Your Life! Build Your Business! Have Your Way!

Earlier this week, La Shonda Tyree, IBN’s Local Director in the Newark/Northern New Jersey area, led a group of my members to be a part of the live studio audience at the Martha Stewart Show. It was “handmade week,” so it was the perfect time for Indies to show up in force. Here they are, all smiles before the show!

Pictured, left to right front: La Shonda Tyree of Handmade Soap Coach, Dawn Fitch of Pooka Pure and Simple, Delores Harris of Daisy May Soap, Roslyne Johnson of MayaIndia and Hassan Sayyed of Haus Urban Apothecary. Left to right back: Angela Carillo of Alegna Soap and Merilyn Konnerth of Utopia Bath. Not pictured: Yolanda Cathcart of Londa’s Body Care, behind the camera.)

During the show, Hassan asked the Domestica Diva herself a question about entertaining etiquette! Tune in tomorrow, December 9, 2011, on the Hallmark Channel (local listings) at 10:00am EST, and see the show, including Hassan’s few minutes of fame.

Have I ever attended the live taping of a talk show? Yes.  I was in 2nd grade! That ages me totally because it is my understanding that schools rarely take children on field trips these days.  My school in Indianapolis inspired me more than once while on field trips.  In fact, my first bar of handcrafted soap was purchased on a 2nd grade field trip!

I poured over the pictures of LaShonda and the Indie's group at the taping of the Martha Stewart show several times.  Love the smiles, what excitement! Indie's totally ROCK!!

I've never been to a live taping of any show. This looks like it was a fantastic time for everyone. I'm seconding Mary... Indies definitely rock!!!

Reach out. Make friends. Let's lift each other!

I recently went to a taping of Anderson  Cooper's talk show (which  I don't even watch) because a friend had sent away for tickets.  It was especially fun because they shoot it in one of  the dramatic theaters of Jazz at Lincoln Center.  You face a wall of window facing Columbus Circle, a quite beautiful view.  Oh, and the show was okay too.  Anderson was very cool.

I recorded the Martha show the Indies were on and will watch it over and over till I see them!!
