Enjoy Your Life! Build Your Business! Have Your Way!

How Your Products Can Be Featured In Our Site Updates!

Here's how you can get your products featured in our daily updates, which are sent to all members of our social networking community!

1. Become A Member Of IBN. This feature is designed to promote IBN member businesses and products, and as you know, membership has its privileges. You must be a member to upload photos to our site so the first thing to do is to join IBN at this link at our flagship website.

2. Add Your Photo. This easy and fun! First, make sure your photo is clear and displays your products in an appealing way. I will only feature product photos that are clear and which look like they are designed to generate sales!

To add your photo, just click here and browse your desktop for the photo you want to add. Note that you can add more than one at a time. Once you click "upload" to add the picture(s), you will be taken to a page that asks you to tell us about the picture.

3. Give The Photo A Title. This is very important! Otherwise, your picture will be called something like IMG_10191.jpg, and that's not going to help you sell any products!

Tell us what it is! Donna Maria Cranberry Fig Shea Butter Soap, Beauty Secret Company Argan Oil Facial Cream, Hobo Spa Valentine's Scream Lip Balm -- whatever is it, put it in the Title area. Use your brand name here so people who search for your brand can easily find it!

4. Describe The Product In The Photo. This can come straight from your website if you'd like, just cut and paste. Remember to use content-rich keywords so when people come to the site looking for something, you come up in the search results.

5. Add Keyword Tags. This is super important because without them, your product is harder to find!

6. Tell Us Where To Go To Buy The Product.t: Be sure to include the URL where we can go to buy the product! Most people forget about this!

Please check your spelling and grammar. I do not feature products, even if they look good, if the descriptive information accompanying the product is not professional. Please use double spaces between paragraphs were appropriate. Use descriptions that inform, but don't write a manifesto. Include a basic keyword rich overview and a link. (See example below.)

7. Note That You Can Add Your Photo To A Photo Album. Instructions for doing this are at the bottom part of the page. For example, you could group all of your soaps together in one album, or all or your candles together in one album, etc.

8. Update Your Existing Photos. Remember, if you have already added photos to the site, you don't have to add them again. Just go back to the picture and choose the edit feature to edit or change anything you'd like! Also, if you add purchase links, remember to update them if your website address changes so people here don't go to a dead link!

A Good Example!

I added a sample of a good promotional product photo here. I used a picture I took of some soap I ordered from a member. Your pictures will be better of course, but this was the easiest way to show you a good example of a photo that included all of the things necessary to make it easy for people to enjoy your products.

Remember to maintain your membership because if it expires, your product photos are removed from the database! Here's the link to renew your IBN membership at our flagship website!

That's it!

Twitter Integration!

With our site's new Twitter integration, it's even more important for members to add their photos! That's because Twitter makes it easy for people who like your product photo to Tweet about it. That's right, while you're sleeping, vacationing or having a pedicure, people can be sharing your products with their friends on Twitter.

Here's how it works. At the bottom of each photo, you will see a Twitter link. If anyone clicks that link, they can Tweet about your product quickly and easily. I did this for the example above at this link at my Twitter page.

Make this even more valuable by adding the person's Twitter name in the Tweet. I did this above by adding "@marmaladehills" to my Tweet. As you can see, this allows people who see the Tweet to click through to Marmalade Hills Twitter page to learn more!!

How cool is that!!?

I want to help you promote your products! Follow these instructions and I will feature them!

If you have any questions, post them below and I'll answer there!

Hi DM,

Thanks for all of the information and I love the connection between the photos and Twitter.
Great! I'm glad you like it. I think it's awesome!

And sorry the message was called "test". I forgot to add a header to Ning's new format. Hate when I do stuff like that!

Awesome-thank you!
I really appreciate the info, DM. Trying to get started can be a tad overwelming for us still at the begining phase of tech socialization.
I'm trying to soak it all in:)
Thank you for the information. It all seemed so overwhelming for me. Now, I can take a few little steps at a time!! Thank you DM!!
What a great idea. I had no idea the photo section was so customizable. Thanks for the opportunity to display my products. -- Donna DeRosa of Blushing Rose
Thank you DM. I uploaded a Marie Antoinette gift box collection for Valentine's Day.
Hi DM,

I think I finally got the hang of adding photos. They are awaiting approval. Thank you for the detailed explanation.

Bernadette,

Great! I will feature your products later this week. Here are a few tips.

1. Remove [640x480] from the photo name.

2. Add a link to where we can buy your product. See the example in the article above.

3. You might also wish to add your brand name somewhere. Like in the title of the photo, as in the example above.

Thanks!!
