Here are some tips:

1. Watch other people's bath and body videos to get some ideas for what looks good and what does not.

2. Make sure you know what you are doing and have the credibility to actually charge a fee for your DVD. There are quality videos on how to make stuff is available for free all over the Internet so you really have to stand out for people to pay for it.

Here's a good example of a free soapmaking tutorial by Brambleberry. It's professionally produced and people don't have to pay for it. That's the kind of quality and price you are competing with.

3. Study good video production techniques and consider hiring a professional to videotape it for you so it looks good. People won't pay for information if they know it was produced on the cheap or on the fly.

4. Script your presentation in advance and practice a lot.

5. Make sure you plan your marketing stratgey. What site will you use? Who will design it? How will you integrate social media to spread the word?

6. Plan a budget and a launch schedule. Make sure you know how much money you have to use and what you will use each penny for. Set deadlines so you can stay on track. It sounds easy to make a DVD and it is. But to make a quality DVD that peole will pay good money for and which sets you apart and makes you money requires you to invest some money and a great deal of planning time up front first.

There's far more to it than this, but these are some introductory suggestions.

Laureen Falco recently released a candle making DVD.

She's featured in this week's newsletter at this link.

Get some great tips and ideas there.

Hope this helps and good luck!
