Choosing to be happy is a key ingredient to business success!

Have you ever watched Joel Olsteen?  He is what I call a "religious lite" speaker and he talks all over the country and spreads words of encouragement and hope to millions of people.  His books are NY Times best sellers and he fills stadiums to the brim everywhere he goes.  There is a reason why.....

What I really like about Joel is that he is able to get a point across so easily and in a way that even a child can understand.  He is a great short story teller.  He lives his life being positive and happy...major attributes to so many successful business owners.  Are you happy every day when you wake up?  Are you excited about your work and look forward to performing each day?  I am!  I love what I do...and I am lucky I suppose.  So many people are not.  They actually hate working....doing their job or running their business.  They feel it is a chore and they dread it.  Now, I am not saying that every day has to be the "best day ever!" but those that choose to be happy and positive infect other people with the same attitude and that attitude is how you can get through the tough times and enjoy the day - even when things are not going the way you had hoped they would.  You would be surprised at how much better your business will do when you exude an aura of confidence and happiness.  People buy from people they like and want to be around.  Make your business that kind of place where people want to know you and connect with you!

The business of inventing is not an easy one.  There are many ups and downs and money is always needed and an issue.  Things go wrong and often take much longer than you anticipate.  I have been there....and know all too well about the sacrifices that have to be made and the patience you must have to endure it all.  But, when you know you have something good, you must find the will to make it through and enjoy the journey.  Believe me, it makes life that much more enjoyable.  I am happy each day to wake up healthy and to be able to do what I love from the comfort of my home.  I walk my kids to the bus stop, see my wife all the time, and sit down with my family for dinner most every night AND get to read with my kids before they head off to sleep.  How lucky am I!!

So grab your coffee...smile....and take those first steps to inner happiness and success!!
