Hi ladies,
Do any of you Indies offer/have an affiliate program tied to your product lines?
I offer an affiliate program for one of my lines and plan to offer the same for my new line. I have a few sign-ups, but no hits from them so far. Recently I noticed that one of the people that signed up, doesn't have the affiliate button on her site either (so of course no sales there). Is there a way or some suggestions I can make to help my affiliate sign-ups promote the affiliate button on their end? Other than offering the % of sales, what are other suggestions that I can do to help with the push?
Thanks.

Still hoping that someone can add some helpful information to this post.
Thanks.
Hi Everyone, I posted this topic right before the holidays with no response. I'm hoping now that the holidays are over, some one will share a little info on the subject. Inquiring minds want to know.
Thanks.

We don't have an affiliate program but hearing from others that do (we researched it a while back) was extremely helpful. The businesses I spoke with suggested having standards. To be an affiliate, you will XYZ. In this case, it would be to post the button in a visible place on their website. They also had suggestions on how to promote, such as through blog posts, Twitter, and Facebook, always using the link that clearly marked their sales (so they could get credit).
You could do a contest for all your affiliates - whoever drives the most sales gets a basket of goodies? Gets double their affiliate dollars?
Hi Anne-Marie,
Now that's a fab idea. I want to offer my affiliates more that just a banner for them to put on their site. I want to offer them incentives to promote the banner and bring in the sales, but wasn't sure how to do that. Hosting a contest for the affiliates is a great motivator. Also, I guess giving them tips on how to promote the affiliate link without them being really sales-y about it would be good too.
