With all of the focus on HR 2359: The Safe Cosmetics Act of 2011, which is now pending in Congress, dM does not want IBN members to be without the basic information needed to track state laws as well.
This call is going to be a high level introduction to state cosmetics laws, delivered by dM in lay person's terms.
What You'll Learn:
- how to track state laws that might affect your business
- how to quickly tell whether or not a state law applies to your business
- what to do if you think a state law may apply to you, but are not sure
- how to contact your local representative and/or the applicable state agency for help in answering your questions
- how state cosmetics laws interact with federal cosmetics statutes and FDA regulations to impact your business
- and more!
You do not need to be an attorney to understand the simple things we'll discuss, and you'll leave this call with a basic road map you can use to begin dealing with state regulatory issues with confidence and without panic.
While this call will focus mainly on cosmetics laws, since local and state laws affect many small businesses, the basic principles dM will share will be helpful no matter what type of business you have!
