field of competitors in the rapidly growing and ever expanding
aromatherapy market. In this informative session, I'll

Last Week's Answer: I am dark and thick. I am used in perfumery to obtain a green and earthy middle/base note. I am just a bit sweet, a fresh and slightly cucumber-like aromatic indication of the delicate white to pastel colored blooms found on the plant from which I come. I am extracted using solvents since it is not possible to obtain much of me through the distillation process. My scent is fleeting yet unmistakable. While not cheap, I am worth every penny and only a small amount of me is needed to make a difference in your favorite perfume. What am I?
This Week's Question: I don't have much time these days to sample new aromatics, but recently, I sniffed an aroma I'll not soon forget. If you didn't know that you could distill a beautiful aromatic oil from an alcoholic beverage, now you will! This oil is known as Weinhefeoel and results from the distillation of brandy. Very intense and rich, it blends well with other intense aromas like ylang ylang, osmanthus and tobacco. Use often as a base note in men's colognes, it's "deep fruit" aroma is unforgettable. What is it?
Be the first to correctly answer this week's question and a sample of a lovely perfume blend I made with this oil!
Please read the contest rules here before submitting your entry. Put "TRIVIA CONTEST ANSWER" in the subject line or your answer will not be considered.
While time does not permit me to respond personally to all entrants,
the winner's name will be announced in the next newsletter!

Handmade Beauty Product Review: Bubble Bash by HBN Member AllyKats
Bubble
Bash
8.5 oz. | $9.00
What's a Bubble Bash? I didn't know, and then I tried this product. It's a great bubble bath made just for little girls! Packaged in a clear bottle with a pink and green label and a pretty pink bow, it looks just like something my daughter (Vanessa AllyKat) would pick for herself if she were doing the shopping. AllyKats' signature Lily Grapefruit fragrance is sweet with a citrus-y background, and my daughter loves to smell it! After the bath, we are sure to apply AllyKats LipChick, a sweetly scented, pink tinted lip balm which Vanessa AllyKat insists must be in her purse every time she leaves the house. (My goodness! It was over 2 years ago, but it sure seems like just yesterday that I was announcing her birth to you! How time flies! But ... I digress ...)
AllyKat's owner Robin Sessler created the
AllyKats line in honor of her 3 little girls who serve as inspiration for
the products. It's the cutest story and I cannot do it justice! I highly
recommend that you read it for yourself here.
Oh! I forgot to tell you what a Bubble Bash is. It's a bubble bath of course
-- spoken of as only a 2-year old could. The product was named by Robin's
2-year daughter who had trouble pronouncing the "th" sound in
"bath." The result? Bubble Bash! A really cute name for a
fabulously fun product made the Little AllyKat in your life!
You can get your own Bubble Bash (I love saying that!!) and other goodies from AllyKats. My Little Vanessa AllyKat also enjoys the talc-free pink shimmer body Pixie Powder made with naturally absorbent cornstarch. Must haves for all of the AllyKats in your life!!
