Official Logo Program Guidelines Of The Indie Beauty Network
Please read our Official Logo Program Guidelines Of The Indie Beauty Network before displaying the logo. Questions about the program should be addressed to IBN's President at (704) 291-7280 or donnamaria @ indiebeauty.com. If you have any doubt about whether you use of IBN's name and/or logo conflict with these Guidelines, or if you would like to use IBN's logo on more than one website, please contact IBN to get your questions resolved first. IBN's logo may be used by IBN members only, and only at websites owned by the member. It may not be used at websites not owned by the member, i.e., auction websites and other non-member owned sites where member products are sold.
The name and Logo of The Indie Beauty Network are the property of The Indie Beauty Network (IBN). IBN members may display IBN's Logo only in strict compliance with the Official Logo Program Guidelines Of The Indie Beauty Network (Guidelines). Any use of the IBN Logo that is not consistent with these Guidelines is strictly prohibited and may result in termination of membership privileges without refund.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: IBN is not responsible for damage to your hardware or software that results from uploading of the logo to your website or copying of the logo to your printed materials. A few members have experienced technical difficulties uploading the logo to their websites. When this happens, please do not leave a distorted or improperly displayed logo at your site. Remove it unless it is completely clear and properly displayed. Since it is impossible for IBN to understand how all systems work, we cannot be responsible for any problems you encounter uploading or copying the logo. If you are used to maintaining your own website, please consider engaging the services of a professional to upload the logo in order to minimize the chances of any problems. IBN's Logo
- IBN's logo must be linked to http://www.IndieBeauty.com
- IBN's logo contains the current year designation to indicate that your membership is current. This designation will change each year and we request that you replace the logo each year as you renew your membership so your website reflects that your membership is in good standing.
- IBN's Logo is provided only as a graphical representation to indicate IBN membership, and is not in any way an indication of IBN sponsorship or endorsement of the content of any website or product.
- IBN's Logo may be displayed on the websites of IBN members in good standing and on labels of IBN member products that are handmade from scratch using raw materials. IBN's logo may not be displayed on products that were made using pre-manufactured base materials (such as unscented lotion or melt and pour soap) that was purchased and later colored, scented or otherwise changed to create a desired result.
- IBN's Logo is owned by IBN and all uses of the Logo inure to the benefit of IBN.
- IBN's Logo may be displayed by a member only at the website linked in IBN's online member directory. Use of IBN's Logo on additional websites is not permitted without IBN's written permission.
Instructions on Logo Use
- IBN's Logo may not be used to disparage IBN, any of its members or any other trade organizations or businesses.
- IBN's Logo may not be imitated or copied in any way outside of IBN's Logo Program, including in advertising, product packaging and promotional materials.
- IBN's Logo must not be used in a way that implies IBN's sponsorship or endorsement of the content of any website or products.
- IBN's Logo may not used at websites not owned by the member, i.e., auction websites and other non-member owned sites where member products are sold
Presentation
The IBN Logo must be displayed independently of any other graphic or display on a website, brochure or product label. In other words, it may not be conjoined with any other graphic or text in such a way as to imply IBN sponsorship or endorsement. IBN's Logo may not be used as a feature or design element of any other Logo. For use on websites, the IBN Logo cannot be reduced or enlarged beyond what is electronically provided by IBN, nor can the image be compressed to the point where it is illegible or distorted beyond its original appearance. For use on product brochures or product labels, the IBN logo may be made proportionately smaller or larger to fit the text but the logo itself may not be altered in any way. Do not remove any trademark symbols or alter the Logo in any way. Redraws, distortions, or animation of the Logo are not permitted. The artwork on IBN's Logo may not be altered in any way.
Logo Program Updates
IBN reserves the right to change the Logo and the IBN Logo Program Guidelines at any time and solely at its discretion. If possible, IBN will provide advance notice of any changes. All Logo authorized websites, product brochures or product labels will be notified by e-mail of any changes to the Guidelines. Permission to use IBN's Logo is limited to those who meet the then applicable criteria, and those who no longer meet the criteria must discontinue the use of the Logo.
Termination of Logo Use Privileges
IBN reserves the right to review use of the IBN Logo and will monitor use of the Logo on member websites, product brochures and product labels to ensure compliance with these Guidelines. Disregard for these Guidelines may result in immediate termination of the privilege of using the Logo, and with it, all benefits enjoyed through participation in the Logo Program. Depending on the severity of any unapproved use of the logo, it may also result in any of the following: (1) disabling of a member's username and password; (2) removal of a members' contact information from IBN's Online Member Directory; and/or (3) termination of IBN membership without refund. Upon termination of membership (whether or not involuntary), IBN's Logo must be immediately removed from the website, brochure or label.
You must remove IBN's previous logo (blue oval shaped, with Handmade Beauty Network) before displaying the new logo (the blue logo).
Compliance
Any member found to be improperly using the IBN Logo or using any outdated or unapproved IBN Logo must correct any deficiencies in their use of the Logo upon reasonable notice in the form of a electronic written request to remove the Logo in question. They will be informed of what steps must be taken in order to continue to use the correct Logo and will be given a set time period to comply with the request. Refusal to correct deficiencies may result in revocation of the right to use the Logo. Continued use may result in revocation of membership in The Indie Beauty Network without refund at the discretion of IBN.

For Website Use
It is not permissible to open IBN's site inside a site's frame. It must be a link that opens in the top level browser window or opens a new browser window. If you are an IBN member and would like to use IBN's Logo on your website, send an email to donnamaria@indiebeauty.com with "Request IBN Logo For website" in the subject and your company name in the body of the email and you will be provided with the approved IBN Logo for website display.
Your Agreement
Your use of IBN's logo constitutes an agreement between you and IBN that you will use the logo only in accordance with the terms stated in IBN's logo program, and you understand that use of the logo outside of these guidelines without IBN's written permission could result in termination of your membership without refund or other action being taken. You also agree that you will cease using IBN's logo at IBN's request, and that failure to do so could result in termination of your membership without refund or other action being taken.
If you accept and agree to these terms for the use of IBN's logo on your website and/or on your product labels, catalogs and brochures, click the "I Accept" button below and you will then be able to enter your username and password to obtain IBN's logo for website use.
